The ladies that started it all. These were our first 6 hens. Unfortunately 3 of them were eaten by a hawk. In photo: 2 golden comets, 1 leghorn, 1 bantam brahma, 1 jersey giant, and 1 easter egger.
Riot, cocoapop serama cockerel.
Barnaby, dun serama rooster.

How Did You Find That Untagged Post From 11 Months Ago a story of confusion, fear, and general unease
(via kalooeh)
Faces are turning from pink to red as they approach four months. They’re mini adults now and are super hungry, pretty much all the time.
Colors and personalities are in full effect- going to suck to have to get rid of the roo (maybe two).
The first photo is of my hen Celie that I was convinced early on was a roo. Easter Eggers can be tough to call when they’re young. Love the black dots on her hackle feathers.
Second photo is Anna, she’s just gorgeous in my eyes.
Pearl is featured as well- she’s really turning into a pretty hen. Her apricot lacing is becoming increasingly pronounced.
Fluffy chicken butts are just cute- realized I took more pictures of their business ends than “pretty ends”. Meh.
